Many devices today have a built-in feature to reduce the amount of blue light from their display. On chromebooks this feature is called "Night Light".
Enabling Night Light mode
To turn on Night Light mode, click the Clock in the bottom-right corner of the chromebook screen, then click the Night Light button.
This will enable the feature, and you will immediately see the colors on the screen take on a warmer hue.
Night Light mode will remain enabled until you turn it off again, even after logging out or restarting the chromebook.
To turn Night Light mode off, just click the Night Light button again.
Scheduling Night Light
You can configure Night Light to turn on and off at a particular time, as well as control how much blue light is filtered.
Again, click the Clock in the bottom-right corner of the chromebook screen, but this time click the Settings button at the top of the menu.
Click Device on the left side, then click Displays.
Look for the section labelled Night Light. You can set a schedule using the Schedule selector, and control how much blue light is filtered using the Color temperature setting.
