As a parent or guardian, your student's teacher may send you you and invitation email to become a Google Classroom Guardian. If you accept this invitation, you will be sent a weekly summary of your student's activities in Google Classroom.
Accepting the Invitation
The Google Classroom Guardian invitation looks like this:
Clicking or tapping the ACCEPT button will automatically register your email address to receive weekly summaries of your student's activities.
Please Note: If you have the Google Classroom app installed on your phone, tapping the ACCEPT button may open the Classroom app and ask you to enter the class code. This is an error; you will need to go back to the invitation email, tap-and-hold on the ACCEPT button, then choose "Open in Safari" or the browser of your choice.
After clicking ACCEPT, you will be taken to this confirmation page:
A Gmail account is NOT required to receive the Google Classroom Guardian email summaries. However, if you would like to customize the frequency of these summary emails, you can sign in using a Gmail account here to manage this setting. Again, this is not required.

Additional Information
Google Classroom Guardians will only receive these email summaries; Guardians do not have access to their student's Google Classrooms, and can not see current assignments or directly review their students' work.
